Fuck, remember that birthday cupcake I got you that was stuffed with frosting? I had no idea but I was like GO OFF CUPCAKE. I try really hard not to be a sentimental person because feelings are for chumps but I hope you know how much I truly appreciate your friendship and the bond we've formed over the last few years. I appreciate that even though I'm at least a decade older than the rest of you, I never feel like I'm the "mom friend". Mostly because I'm a lot less responsible than the rest of you but w/e. I am so proud of you for being instrumental in creating such a safe and supportive community of artists and up-and-comers alike. So many of the youngsters look up to you and you do a great job of inspiring them to do better and greater things.
I made a couple playlists to commemorate this occasion: one that's just a mixtape with some faves and deep cuts, and another based on that 27 Club concept we missed out on.
